I grew up in the nearby town of Hawick before moving to Dundee to study Dentistry. I spent a year working at a great practice in a deprived area of Dundee, where l was able to hone my skills as a general dentist.
Following this, l undertook further Dental Core Training in the Public Dental service in Dundee, treating anxious patients, children and patients with complex medical needs. I then worked at Dundee Dental Hospital during the COVID-19 lockdown where l spent time working in the Tayside Urgent Dental Care centres, the community swabbing team and the department of restorative dentistry. During this time l passed my MFDS postgraduate examination at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
I believe in high quality modern dentistry where patients interests are put first, underpinned by a solid evidence base and personalised to the requirements of each individual patient. An emphasis on prevention and minimally invasive dentistry are fundamental to this approach.
Outside of dentistry l am a keen runner and member of Teviotdale Harriers, Munro bagger and enjoy relaxing by playing piano and guitar.

Since returning to work after maternity leave l am now working part time. It is nice to be back interacting with patients and socialising with work colleagues. I enjoy being involved in the newer treatments that the practice is now providing such as teeth whitening.
Away from work l spend my time raising my two lovely children and watching them grow. I also enjoy socialising with friends and being outdoors.
